How long is the yoga mat strap? The normal flat length is 20 inches, and the max stretch length is about 38 inches, fitting almost any size yoga mat as it has good stretch and closure with Velcro hook & loop.

Is it a slap band? No, it is a stretchy elastic band with a Velcro loop on the front side and Velcro hook at the end of the nylon strap. Our yoga mat band holds the mat together nice & tight.
